I remember hearing or reading that John Peel, Caron Keating, Jack Rosenthal, Fred Dibnah, Pat Roach, Molly Weir (her death was one of those that got mentioned in TV Zone), Marlon Brando, Christopher Reeve, Elmer Bernstein and Jerry Goldsmith had died.
But I missed the news of Alistair Cooke, Bernard Levin, Norris McWhirter, Peter Ustinov, Janet Leigh, Howard Keel, Ray Charles, Sacha Distel, Les Gray and Laura Branigan (not that we were likely to hear of the latter's here).
Am downloading the new years honours list, see if there are names on there that I know but the media haven't mentioned.
