Most of the planes from today's Queen's birthday flypast in London when they flew over where I live:
... 
The first of these pairs of photos (well all except for the one right at the bottom where I wasn't quick enough for a clear second shot) were taken as the planes came towards us, the second either almost overhead or as they headed away. It's a bit of challenge to take photos of planes like this from our back garden but you wouldn't get an uncluttered view/sky if you went down the road as phone lines etc would get in the way.
Below are a pair of VC-10 air-to-air refueling tankers, what we frequently get flying over on their way into Brize Norton but not with the refueling rigs out.
