Sorry but there is a member of the public that I really want to do harm to. The mere sound of his voice on the phone gets my back up. It's very difficult not to snap at him, to keep a level voice and not react.

He's phoned up 4 times in a day and a bit whining that for 2 and a half years we (as a service) haven't helped him. We have tried to help the guy but we can't help somebody who won't do what's suggested to help him get on a course or if he's just not suitable for it.

And I can't help the fact that the person he wants/needs to speak to has been out of the office/in meetings. Some people expect us to be at their beck and call, to hell with everybody else's needs and actually runnning the service etc.

AGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Sandra, I can totally sympathise. I spent the last 13 years of my life dealing with 'customers', including some of the most obnoxious, insulting, patronising people it's ever been my misfortune to have dealings with. Don't you just love the public? (not)

The public are usually very nice, it's the phone calls from councillors that we dread and unfortunately we have to do as they ask.
