One thing I noticed evolution-wise is that he was wearing new glasses this season that are reminiscent of his nifty specs in the episode 2010. I think I noticed it in the scene where he was showing the tetrahedron to Mitchell in the mid-season finale.
Right now I'm having fun trying to identify the eps each photo is from.
