First day back at work after a week off ...

Just 70+ emails in my work inbox, not too bad.

Silliness of the day: I had to forward on a education plan to various agencies and partners for consultation.

I get an automated email back:

"Your email entitled ### has been detected to contain words and or phrases that are deemed to be inappropriate. It is the Department for Work and Pensions' policy not to permit the transmission of inappropriate language within internet email.
Your email has NOT been delivered.
You must:
Ensure the email is business related.
Remove any inappropriate words or phrases and resend."

We're suitably mystified by what could be 'inappropriate' and the person who put the 70+ page report together is speechless and a slightly worried as the report is going to a committee of councillors tomorrow.

Of course this piece of silliness came from a government department/agency so you'd expect them to be a little over PC.

Just wandering through and saw this... . I work for the government (indirectly... contractor) and, though I've never had such an e-mail, I can easily imagine it happening to me. Thus, I find it absolutely hilarious. Thanks for the laugh :-D.

A day later and we (as a team) still have no idea what was deemed inappropriate etc.

We've just chalked it up to an over sensitive, probably policially correct filter.
